Stolen Moments: Seashell Picking at Sunrise

Location:  Batangas, The Philippines

More than words can say...

Street Style: Hong Kong Chic

Location:  Hong Kong Times Square

I have to say, everything in Hong Kong moves at the speed of light and sound it feels like a system overload.  Real estate space is literally in the sky as buildings stretch so far up because the city is so condensed. At eye level, everything looks so modern and futuristic with ads for everything high end, but if you look up at some of the structures, you see elements of the old world it used to be.

It's so fast paced it's literally impossible to keep up with your surroundings.  Each time I'd see someone interesting to shoot, by the time I take the shot, I've got a pic of their back.

This guy below was one of my favourites.

Below: Cora, she was so sweet!

SoHo's in Hong Kong!!

Hey Groovy Peeps, just touching base with you guys and letting you know I haven't forgotten about you! I'm currently in Hong Kong right now stalking HK's Time Square and Fashion Districts, so be on the look out for some Street Style stills and Stolen Moments forthcoming!

Side note:  The trends, colour schemes/patterns and pairing I'm noticing here are way different than what we see on a regular in Toronto which is so refreshing! It's so common to see young and futuristic walking side by side with old and traditional but everyone marching to the beat of their own drums.

See you soon!!

Style Icons: Kid Cudi

I have very few new school style icons as favourites, Kanye and Pharrell being everyone's obvious picks.  But one person who I feel is underrated is Kid Cudi.  His style is so New York fresh and embodies individuality separating him from a lot of different artists.  I love the fact that his style speaks his whole persona which is also reflected in his musical savoir-faire.  His groove reverbs the fact that it's okay to be different and by the way, I'm mad cool at it too.

Street Style: The Bearded Man

Beards make a strong statement on their own and automatically leaves an impression of the dude sporting the hairy fixture.  I'm not exactly sure what does it for me, but I love the unpredictable, rugged appeal of a great hairy beard.

Unkempt, unruly, uncombed??

A well dressed and polished man with a bedraggled beard is quite jarring in appearance, but it ups the ante in a style war any day.

Does the man make the beard or does the beard make the man??

I don't really have much to say about this shot other than the fact that I absolutely love it.

So simple and complex at the same time.

Visuals 101: February 3, 2011 SoHo the Artist!

I'm gonna apologize about the image quality from the jump, but I just wanted to share some of my work with you. I don't get a chance to sketch very often, but when I do, I always curse myself afterwards for not finding the time to do it enough.

This one was framed and then shot hence the glare lol
